On July 15, in Kathmandu, Deepak Khadka was appointed as the Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation. Prior to his appointment, Khadka served as a prominent promoter of hydropower projects, including the under-construction 120 MW Langtang-Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project and the 4.72 MW Menchyam Hydropower Project.
Deepak Khadka, a directly elected Member of Parliament from Sankhuwasabha, brings extensive experience to his new role, having previously served as the State Minister for Water Supply. His appointment marks a significant step in Nepal’s energy and water management sectors.
