MYAGDI, April, 4:
CPN-Maoist Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel on Friday said that the Upper Karnali Hydropower Project will not be allowed to hand over to India at any cost.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Myagdi chapter of the party, Gajurel vowed to chase away the Indian construction company GMR from the construction site.
“Indian interference is growing in Nepal,” Gajurel argued, adding, “We are ready to retaliate against it”.
On the occasion, leader Gajurel opined that the Upper Karnali Hydropower Project should be constructed with Nepali capital like in the Chilime and Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Projects.
“India is trying to colonize Nepal through the medium of water and land resources,” Gajurel remarked.
He further said that his party will build alliance with local stakeholders and other political parties in a bid to withdraw Indian construction company-GMR from the project.
