Dhakal Commits to Expanding Renewable Energy in Nepal’s Cottage and Small Industries

Kathmandu: Gunaraj Dhakal has been elected Central Vice President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI), representing the renewable energy sector, during the federation’s 26th National Convention and 23rd National Women Entrepreneurs Conference. Dhakal has pledged to promote green industrialization by expanding the use of renewable energy in cottage and small industries.

Expressing gratitude for the trust and responsibility placed in him, Dhakal said he would work actively during his tenure to promote cottage and small industries, encourage the effective use of renewable energy in the industrial sector, advocate for policy reforms, and support sustainable industrial development.

According to Dhakal, expanding access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy for cottage and small industries is essential to achieving Nepal’s green industrialization goals. With this vision, he said his tenure will focus on protecting the interests of entrepreneurs, improving energy access, and advancing the adoption of renewable energy across the sector.

He also committed to introducing policies and programs that promote energy efficiency, clean technologies, and renewable energy use to enhance the competitiveness of Nepal’s industrial sector.

The newly elected Vice President expressed confidence that, with the continued support, suggestions, and collaboration of industrialists, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders, he would work collectively to achieve the sustainable development of Nepal’s industrial sector.
