Dhading: A switching station supplying electricity to the Huaxin Cement Industry under production has come into operation in Dhading. The switching station built in Siddhalek Village Municipality -6 of Dhading beneath the Marshyangdi-Syuachatar 132 KV transmission line has been added into operation through charging on Friday. The transmission line from the Lower Marshyangdi power house is looping in and out of the switching station. Power supply could be supplied to Huaxin Cement through looping the transmission line withinside the switching station. Huaxin Cement will take 20 MW of electricity.
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Kulman Ghising stated that the switching stations had been allowed to charge as the demand for electricity would decrease throughout the Dashain festival. “At different times, the Marshyangdi-Syuchatar 132 kV trunk line could not be shut down, so we allowed it to be charged in the middle of the Dashain and the switching station became charged on the day of Tika,” stated Ghising, govt director.”Now Huaxin Cement could be able to connect electricity from the 132 KV transmission line any day.”
Huaxin Cement, which is under production in Benighat Rorang village municipality of Dhading, had commenced construction of a switching station at its own cost last year. The company has constructed approximately 14 kilometers of transmission line from the switching station to the factory and a 132-10 kV substation withinside the manufacturing unit premises. NEA had supervised the development of the switching station. According to Managing Director Ghising, 33 and 11 KV lines will be laid locally for electricity supply from the switching station.
“After the construction of the switching station, the infrastructure has been prepared to provide electricity to the industries which are establishing in Galchi and Naubise areas, and electricity could be provided domestically from there,” he stated. “It will even make the electricity deliver withinside the region reliable.”
