Kathmandu. An agreement has been signed between “Electricity Generating Company Limited” – Vidyut Utpadan Company Limited (VUCL) and NEA Engineering Company (NEAEC) to carry out the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) studies for the Dullu–Malika Solar Power Project.
NEAEC has been entrusted with providing consultancy services for the DPR and IEE studies of the 30-megawatt solar power project and the associated 132 kV transmission line. The agreement was concluded through the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) process.
Under the agreement, NEAEC will conduct studies related to the project’s technical design, cost estimation, implementation plan, financial analysis, and environmental impact assessment. Through the IEE study, potential environmental impacts will be identified and mitigation measures will also be recommended.
The Dullu–Malika Solar Power Project is expected to make a significant contribution to the promotion of renewable energy and sustainable electricity generation. Once the DPR and IEE studies are completed, the project will move forward toward implementation.
