Super Madi Hydropower Records 69% Surge in Profit

Kathmandu – Super Madi Hydropower Limited has earned a net profit of Rs 205.9 million by the end of the second quarter of the current fiscal year. This is 69.25 percent higher compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year. During the same period last year, the company had earned a profit of Rs 121.7 million.

The company stated that despite a decline in electricity sales revenue, profits increased due to effective cost control. During the review period, the company’s electricity sales revenue decreased by 11.02 percent to Rs 672.8 million, while other operating expenses fell by 26.10 percent and financial expenses declined by 14.83 percent. Overall profit increased by 8.71 percent.

Along with the profit, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) reached Rs 18.68. As of the mid of January 2026, the net worth per share stood at Rs 115.76, and the price–earnings (P/E) ratio was 31.84 times.

The company, which has a paid-up capital of Rs 2.205 billion, has accumulated Rs 347.4 million in its reserve fund.
