Kathmandu: Super Madi Hydropower Limited has proposed distributing a 15 percent bonus share to its shareholders from the profit earned in the last fiscal year.
The meeting of the company’s Board of Directors held on 25 August 2026, decided to distribute bonus shares worth Rs 347.2875 million, equivalent to 15 percent of the company’s current paid-up capital. The company has also proposed a 0.78947 percent cash dividend for tax purposes on the bonus shares.
The proposed dividend will be distributed to shareholders after receiving approval from the Electricity Regulatory Commission and endorsement by the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
To approve the dividend proposal, the company has called its 17th Annual General Meeting on 17 September 2026, at Hotel Imperial, Kathmandu. The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m.
The company has announced that it will close its share register (book closure) on 7 September 2026, for the AGM and dividend distribution purpose. Accordingly, shareholders maintaining ownership of the company’s shares by 3 September 2026, through trading on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will be eligible to participate in the AGM and receive the proposed dividend.
