The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has granted the Initial Public Offering (IPO) proposal of Kalanga Hydro Limited. The issue is approved on March 10, 2026.
According to the approved proposal, the company will issue a total of 49,00,000 units of shares to the general public at a par value of Rs. 100 per unit. The shares will be available for subscription by both local investors and the general public.
Sanima Capital Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the public offering.
CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has revised the issuer rating assigned to Kalanga Hydro Limited (KHL) to ‘CARE-NP BB (Is)’ from ‘CARE-NP BB- (Is)’. Issuers with this rating are considered to offer moderate risk of default regarding timely servicing of financial obligations, in Nepal.
Kalanga Hydro Limited (KHL) was initially incorporated as a private limited company as on 20 December, 2007 (converted to a public limited company as on July 14, 2021) by a group of individual and institutional promoters for setting up of a 15.33 MW, run-of-river, Kalanga Gad Hydroelectric Project in Bajhang district of Nepal. The project is constructed under BOOT mechanism.

ICRA Nepal has upgraded the issuer rating of Sanigad Hydro Limited (SHL or the company) to [ICRANP-IR] BB- (pronounced ICRA NP issuer rating double B Minus) from [ICRANP-IR] B+ (pronounced ICRA NP issuer rating B Plus). Issuers with this rating are considered to have a moderate risk of default regarding timely servicing of financial obligations.
Sanigad Hydro Limited (SGHL) incorporated on December 2007 as a private limited company, later converted into a a public limited company on July 14, 2021. The company commissioned its 38.46 MW Upper Kalanga Gad hydro-electric project in Bajhang district, Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal.
