Power outage less by one hour

KATHMANDU, JUL 04 –

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is set to minimise power outage by an hour a day from Saturday.

Saying that the rise in water level in most rivers due to rainfall has resulted in increased power generation, the NEA decreased power cuts from eight hours a day to seven.

Officials said load-shedding might be slashed by another hour if all the power plants generate electricity in full capacity and the Gandak Hydropower Project is revived.
