NEA Invites EOI to Develop Four Transmission Lines Under BOOT Model

Kathmandu – The Nepal Electricity Authority has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested companies for the construction of four transmission line projects.

Issuing a public notice, the authority’s Transmission Directorate in Durbar Marg has called on domestic and international companies or consortiums to submit applications.

According to the authority, the projects will be developed under the BOOT (Build, Own, Operate and Transfer) model and in accordance with the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework.

As per the notice, proposals have been sought for the construction of the following transmission lines:

Sitalpati (Arun Hub)–Inaruwa 400 kV transmission line (about 95 km)

Tigla–New Khimti–Sunkoshi Hub–Dhalkebar 400 kV transmission line (about 134 km)

Dadakhet–Burtibang 132 kV transmission line (about 33 km)

Ridi–Tamghas 132 kV transmission line (about 28 km)

The authority stated that a company may apply for one or more projects, but the evaluation will be conducted separately for each project.

Interested companies must submit their applications along with the required documents by April 27, 2026.
