Myagdi: Electricity from Nepal’s national grid has been extended to Panthok and Jugjama in Devsthan, Ward No. 5 of Malika Rural Municipality.
Under the Nepal Electricity Authority’s “Ujyalo Myagdi” program, a 100 kVA transformer has been installed to expand national grid electricity service to the two settlements.
Previously, electricity in Panthok, which has 132 households, was generated and supplied by the Gaudakhola Micro Hydropower Project. Similarly, in Jugjama, which has 72 households, electricity was produced through a peltric set and supplied to local consumers.
With the extension of the national transmission line, residents of both settlements will now have access to a more reliable and regular electricity supply. The expansion of the national grid is also expected to support daily life, education, communication services, and the operation of small businesses in the area.
