Kathmandu, September 27- Mandevi Shrestha, currently Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of Electricity Development (DoED).
She is the first woman to hold this position in the department’s history.
The Department of Electricity Development is responsible for licensing, regulation, and monitoring of electricity generation and distribution projects across Nepal.
Shrestha’s appointment was made as part of the ministry’s administrative decisions to strengthen leadership within the department.
