Surkhet: Construction of the under-construction Kohalpur–Surkhet 132 kV transmission line project has reached its final stage. The project office said that work is being carried out at full pace with the target of charging the line by 3rd of February.

According to Project Chief Ravi Chaudhary, about 500 meters of transmission line stringing remains. He informed that the physical progress of the project has reached 100 percent. The project was started about six years ago with an estimated cost of around NPR 700 million.

Project Chief Chaudhary said preparations are underway to complete testing within the next one week and begin electricity transmission within 15 days. Once the transmission line comes into operation, it is expected to make electricity supply in the Kohalpur–Surkhet area more reliable.
