Floods and landslides inflicted a huge damage on the Dwarikhola Hydro Power Project in Dwari Village of Dailekh.
The under construction 3.75 megawatt Dwarikhola Hydro Power Project was on the verge of completion before it was severely damaged by the natural calamities.
The project developer Bhugol Energy Development Company said that the natural calamities caused damage of worth over Rs 20 million.
The project had a plan to begin trail production of electricity within the next two months, according to project’s site in-charge Santosh Karki.
This has made Dailekh folks very sad as it delays the power generation by some more months, he added.
