Diesel, Kerosene Prices Jump by Rs30 per Litre

Kathmandu: Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products.

The corporation announced that the new prices will come into effect from midnight tonight. According to the revised rates, the prices of diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel have been increased.

As per the new price list, diesel and kerosene have been raised by Rs 30 per liter, while aviation fuel has increased by Rs 5 per liter.

Following the adjustment, the price of diesel and kerosene has reached Rs 237 per liter, while aviation fuel is now priced at Rs 256 per liter.

According to the corporation, despite the price hike, losses persist due to rising prices in the international market and adjustments based on the new price list received from Indian Oil Corporation.

As per the details released by the corporation, it is incurring a loss of Rs 2.32 per liter on petrol, Rs 87.99 per liter on diesel, Rs 36.70 per liter on kerosene, and Rs 331.25 per cylinder on cooking LPG gas.

The corporation stated that it has been bearing losses amounting to approximately Rs 7.81 billion every fortnight.
